PERISHABLE FOOD DONATIONS
PERISHABLE FOOD DONATIONS
In addition to non-perishable items, the Food Bank has the capacity to transport, store and deliver perishable foods such as meats, produce and dairy products. Our Delmont warehouse features 46,500 cubic feet of freezer space and 31,500 cubic feet of cooler space for storing items, while our 22’ refrigerated box trucks allows us to keep perishable foods at the appropriate temperature for deliveries.
Each week our staff and volunteers handle thousands of pounds of donated perishable foods that we sort and repackage, effectively rescuing wholesome food for people in need.
