For individuals and families facing food insecurity, there’s hope. Through innovative food programs and a network of community resources, we’re working to win the fight against hunger by providing healthy and nutritious foods to our neighbors and friends throughout Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Why Westmoreland Food Bank
We believe in a community of caring—one that treats everyone with kindness and respect. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we’re able to provide monthly food boxes filled with fresh produce, pantry staples, and proteins to over 8,000 households in Westmoreland County. Each box is packed with love because we know it’s not just about food—it’s about proving that we care.
Food When You Need It
No matter where in the county you are, we’re sure to have a pantry near you. With programs like Fresh Express and Mobile Market we provide access to nutritious, fresh produce and perishable foods across Westmoreland County.
Healthy and Delicious
Our food boxes include at least 25% fresh produce, and we’re working on creating special options for neighbors with specific dietary needs.

Thanks to a partnership between Feeding Pennsylvania and the Westmoreland County Junior Livestock Committee, the Westmoreland Food Bank will be the recipient of some locally raised meat products.
Buyers had the option to donate animals purchased at the sale to the food bank and we were excited to have so many generous buyers support the program.

After years of planning, we are stepping into a new chapter of growth! We are so proud to have broken ground on a building expansion project to meet the needs of our community. Soon we will have an onsite food pantry to better serve our neighbors, greater refrigeration capacity to store more fresh foods, and additional space for volunteers to support this vital work.
This project is made possible through support from Westmoreland County American Rescue Plan Act funds and Congressionally Directed Community Project funds. We're deeply grateful for this investment in our mission and the future of hunger relief in our region.
