Hope in Every Box
For individuals and families facing food insecurity, there’s hope. Through innovative food programs and a network of community resources, we’re working to win the fight against hunger by providing healthy and nutritious foods to our neighbors and friends throughout Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Why Westmoreland Food Bank
We believe in a community of caring—one that treats everyone with kindness and respect. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we’re able to provide monthly food boxes filled with fresh produce, pantry staples, and proteins to over 8,000 households in Westmoreland County. Each box is packed with love because we know it’s not just about food—it’s about proving that we care.
Food When You Need It
No matter where in the county you are, we’re sure to have a pantry near you. With programs like Fresh Express and Mobile Market we provide access to nutritious, fresh produce and perishable foods across Westmoreland County.
Healthy and Delicious
Our food boxes include at least 25% fresh produce, and we’re working on creating special options for neighbors with specific dietary needs.

This special giving day is brought to you by The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, supporting over 200 nonprofits across Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. Even better, The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County is kicking things off with $50,000 in incentive funds, which means your gift can go even further.

In observance of America250PA's Pennsylvania Day, fourteen volunteers gave their time at Westmoreland Food Bank, assembling 730 cardboard boxes, packing 230 boxes of beverages, 50 boxes of produce, and 50 bags of sweet corn for distribution at one of our partner programs across Westmoreland County.
