Delmont Police Support Food Bank Neighbor
Located just under 2 miles from the Westmoreland County Food Bank Warehouse, the Delmont Police Department has been raising money for the Food Bank throughout 2020. For a period of time, the department sold t-shirts and a portion of the proceeds were designated for the food bank. In order to supplement that monetary donation, the Delmont department wanted to further involve the community just before the Thanksgiving holiday. As a result, the department is hosting a non-perishable food drive.
Delmont Police Chief Klobucar stated “As police officers, we protect and serve the community, and this Thanksgiving we want to make sure that we do our part to help as many people as possible. We would love for you to help us with this effort.”
The Delmont Police Department is hosting a Food Drive to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank on Sunday, November 22, 2020. The food drive collection will occur between 8 am and 12 noon at the Delmont Borough Garage, located at 30 Bierer St, Delmont, PA 15626. Only non-perishable items will be accepted and most needed items included canned meats/fish, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, macaroni and cheese, and boxed meal/side dish kits, etc.
For questions or additional information about the food drive, please contact the Delmont Police Department at 724-468-8501.
