INCREASING ACCESS THROUGH PERSONAL ASSISTANCE.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, is a federal program that helps households purchase food at the grocery store. Those who are eligible receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card which works like a debit card to make food purchases. The Westmoreland Food Bank assists individuals applying for this nutrition assistance program.
