Sip, Sample & Savor Event to Mark 35 Years of Fighting Hunger

This year the Westmoreland County Food Bank marks 35 years of fighting hunger in the community. To recognize this milestone, the Food Bank will host Sip, Sample & Savor – a fundraising event for the community to learn about the agency’s impact and taste what Westmoreland County dining establishments have to offer. The Westmoreland County Food Bank is requesting support from local restaurants, caterers, bakeries, wineries/breweries, food trucks, and more to feature and provide one or two signature food or beverage items at this event on Thursday, September 7, 5-7 p.m. in the organization’s Delmont warehouse. Attendees will stroll through the facility tasting items and learning about the various charitable food assistance programs offered by the Food Bank. For more information about how your business can get involved, contact the Sara Swaney at the Westmoreland County Food Bank at 724-468-8660 extension 27.
