Grant Silvestri from Franklin Regional High School was recognized as Westmoreland County Food Bank’s February Volunteer of the Month. Grant, has a positive attitude and a great sense of humor according to his teacher, Judy Polczynski. He was nominated for his leadership skills, when acting as “student supervisor” while fulfilling his volunteer commitment at the Delmont warehouse. He organizes, explains the task to his peers and assigns and monitors their work. Grant also has assisted with fundraising activities for the food bank, held at Franklin Regional High School, including the Holiday Telethon and Homecoming Bonfire. Volunteering can give anyone an opportunity to excel, while feeling good about what they have accomplished. Thank you Grant for your leadership.
