Alex Faulds a 12th grade student at Greensburg Salem High School was awarded the food bank’s April Volunteer of the Month. Alex has volunteered for 4 years at the Delmont warehouse with fellow classmates. “He is committed to learning new skills and implementing and refining those skills inside and outside of the school community. He stands out from the rest because he is such a hard worker and always follows safe work practices, actively looks for and suggests solutions to problems, always has a positive attitude about the task at hand, uses time well throughout the project to ensure things get done right and on time,” stated his teacher, Sheri Lyn Dallas-Stern. He is considered a role model and leader. He often lends a hand to fellow classmates and brings his excitement for helping others every Tuesday when he volunteers. WCFB has many students like Alex, who help with sorting and repacking of food at our warehouse on a regular basis. It is a “win-win” situation for all involved. Congratulations, Alex! We wish you the best as you graduate with the Class of 2017.
